The debate is now in full swing over Global Warming, as the trend has grown in strength and there is a lot at stake in a power grab for money and power. Pun intended. Do you believe in Global Warming? If so that means that you believe that mankind is causing thru CO2 emissions the heating of the atmosphere.
If you believe on the other hand that the climate is changing or going thru normal climate cycles and that the Sun, Earth’s interior and other factors are also contributing and further believe that mankind’s pollution is so little a contributor; then you believe in Climate Change, not Global Warming, as those are the definitions of each.
Actually, I am not convinced of Global Warming (mankind's fault) although understand that we have some changes going on and some inter-related cycles which are coming together. The only thing that is constant is change; we should expect that.
I believe it is important to strengthen our economies and civilizations to deal with any changes whether you call it Climate Change, Climate Crisis, Global Warming or whatever. Pollution is not wise and it takes no brains to do that, anyone can litter, and no one should.
Working together without destroying our societies thru political unrest, hate and attacks while fighting over the means will mean we can get to the ends that everyone agrees too. Working within the system as you are doing to solve the challenges is to be respected and honored. I hope this article propels thought in 2007.
